serve

If you're a Christian, you are an essential and indispensable part of the Church (see 1 Corinthians 12). You are charged with the same mission that Jesus charged his disciples with: To Make More and Stronger Disciples of Jesus (see Matthew 28:18-20).

We are all given different gifts and interests and talents to serve the church and reach the world with the Good News that Jesus saves sinners. Sometimes that means doing what we love and other times that means stepping out of our comfort zone because the Gospel matters--because people matter. We don't want anything trivial to stand in the way of someone hearing the Gospel.

Where will you serve? Here are some options!

Please send an email to the ministry director with the area of ministry you are interested in or fill out our online interest form at the bottom of the page. Either way, a ministry director will follow-up with you with more details!

  • greeters

Greeters are the first people we meet as we come to church on a Sunday morning and likely one of the first impressions of Trinity Church to newcomers. Their job is simply—but importantly—to genuinely welcome all people as they enter. For some people, this kind of thing is right up their alley. For others it’s a step (or leap) outside of their comfort zone, but it’s the love and power of Christ that motivates and activates us.

  • ushers

Ushers wear many hats during a Sunday service. For example, they are responsible for passing out bulletins as people enter the sanctuary, helping people find seats when the seats become hard to find, passing the offering plates, and cleaning up the sanctuary between services. All of this should be done in a manner that reflects Christ’s love.

  • refreshment hosts

You know those snacks after church every week that everybody loves? Refreshment hosts are responsible for planning the refreshments for a given Sunday and serving them.

  • nursery workers

Working in the nursery is a great area for the “serve one, attend one” to play out—and we can always use more great nursery workers!

If you have a heart for the littlest ones and a passion to serve parents, working in the nursery could be a great option for you.

All workers must pass a background check and follow the safety guidelines.

  • TRINITY STUDENTS Volunteers

We believe that students are not just the church of tomorrow - if they know Jesus, they are the church of today. Our youth group exists to provide middle school and high school students with Christian community, fun, and Gospel-centered teaching in order to encourage them to know Christ more, to be bold witnesses for him, and to equip them for life. There are a variety of ways to serve our students, and each is critically important to seeing this generation of kids follow Jesus in every aspect of their lives.

  • WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRY

Every Sunday morning service has a lot of pieces and a lot of people using their talents to make it happen. If you are interested in joining the tech team (sound and visual) or if you are skilled musically and would like to find out more about serving the church in this way, let us know! We also have a desire to form a set design team and are working on developing our story team. There are lots of creative ways to get plugged in!

  • PhotojournalisM & Social media

The Gospel is a beautiful thing, and photojournalism and social media is a way to share the transforming grace of the Gospel through church life. If you're passionate about telling stories through photography or social media, this may be a great place to use your gifts and passions.

  • Prayer Ministry

Of all the places to serve at Trinity Church, the ministry of prayer is the most important and powerful. From praying through services on Sunday mornings, to prayer gatherings in peoples homes throughout the week, we must cover the ministry of Trinity Church in bold and courageous prayer. If you have a burden to pray and intercede on behalf of people in our church family, community, and beyond we'd love to connect you to prayer teams in our church family.
